GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The North Dakota women's basketball team will travel down I-29 to close out the regular season with a pair of games in South Dakota. UND will face South Dakota State Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Frost Arena, before taking on South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D. Saturday.

Series History vs South Dakota State
While North Dakota holds a 41-36 all-time against South Dakota State, the Jackrabbits have won 15 straight over the Fighting Hawks. In UND's second Summit League contest of the year on Dec. 31, SDSU won 74-53 in the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. The Jacks carried a 41-19 lead into the second half, a lead UND was unable to cut into in the final 20 minutes.

Kacie Borowicz paced the Hawks with 17 points, while
Kiera Pemberton chipped in eight points off the bench.
Miranda VanderWal grabbed 10 rebounds (nine defensive) and rejected four Jackrabbit shots.

SDSU was led by Madison Mathiowetz's 18 points and Brooklyn Meyer's 15-point, 12-rebound double-double.

Last Time Out: vs North Dakota State
Kacie Borowicz dropped a career-high 40 points in a 107-80 loss to North Dakota State Saturday at the Scheels Center. The fifth year from Roseau, Minn. connected on 16-of-26 field goal attempts with three triples to pace the Fighting Hawks.

NDSU built a 34-18 lead after 10 minutes of play behind .636 percent shooting from the field and five three-pointers. The Bison also hit five treys in the fourth quarter and connected on 15 in the game.

The Fighting Hawks battled coming out of the halftime intermission, cutting the Bison lead to 10 four times in the fourth quarter. North Dakota State, however, would close the third on a 13-3 run to take a 20-point lead into the final frame.

Fatima Ibrahim scored a career-best 12 points and just missed her first double-double with nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Ibrahim has led the Fighting Hawks in rebounding.
Kiyah Hurst and
Kiera Pemberton were the other Hawks in double-figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Borowicz's 40-Burger
In her last regular season game against NDSU,
Kacie Borowicz erupted for a career-high 40 points on 16-of-26 shooting with three treys. Both the 40 points and 16 made field goals are the most by a Summit League player this season. She broke her previous high of 36 points that was set last year against Omaha on March 5.

It was the Summit League points leader's second game this season with 30 or more points and was the ninth time in her career. Borowicz also leads the conference in made field goals and has connected on 10 or more field goals 14 times in her career and four times this season.

Hurst Don't It
Kiyah Hurst erupted for a career-high 27 points in UND's 75-65 win over Denver on February 15, and scored 22 of the team's 41 second half points. Hurst was 9-of-12 from the field with three treys. She notched her fourth double-double of the year with 11 rebounds.

Over her last four games, Hurst has averaged 17.3 points per game on a .490 field goal percentage with six three-pointers. Hurst notched her third double-double of the season against Denver with 27 points and 11 rebounds and had her fourth game of the year with three or more treys.

After returning to conference play following the Summit League - Big Sky Challenge in early January, Hurst scored in double-figures in all five Summit League games in January and averaged 17.6 points per game.

Hurst recorded two double-doubles in the five-game stretch. She notched a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double in a Hawks 100-75 win over Omaha on Jan. 11 and a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards in a win over Denver on Jan. 20. She was efficient during that stretch of play with a field goal percentage of .538 and was 10-of-22 from beyond the arc.
