CHARLESTON, S.C. – North Dakota soccer was held scoreless on Sunday afternoon in South Carolina as host College of Charleston scored in both halves to win 2-0 from Patriots Point Stadium. The loss moves UND's record to 2-2-2.
The Fighting Hawks managed just a single shot in the opening 45 minutes, while two of Charleston's ten first half shots were on goal, including the one by Bubbles Dever that found the back of the net after she received a cross pass from Emmie Wannemacher.
The Hawks picked up the offensive pace early on in the second half with a pair of deep shot attempts in the first ten minutes after the break. UND had a good look, arguably its best of the afternoon, at evening the contest around the 64'.
Amelia Loeffler delivered a nice pass into the box, but Wannemacher blocked
Kaylie Fowler's shot attempt to keep the Fighting Hawks off the scoreboard. Those three shot attempts were added to six more that were recorded by UND in the second half. Charleston added a second goal by Lilli Ray in the 66
th minute.
