ST. LOUIS, Mo. - North Dakota linebacker Josh Navratil was one of four players to receive Missouri Valley Football Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday morning, earning the title of MVFC Defensive Player of the Week.

In North Dakota's 41-24 victory against San Diego, Navratil had five tackles (four solo), one sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. His fumble recovery late in the third quarter led to C.J. Elrichs' 31-yard field goal to bring the score to 34-17 heading into the final stanza.

With a pair of forced fumbles and a fumble recovery already this season, Navratil currently ranks No. 9 nationally in forced fumbles per game (0.50) and is tied for No. 12 in the FCS in total fumble recoveries (1).

North Dakota will host Murray State in MVFC action this Saturday. Kickoff between the Fighting Hawks and Racers is slated for 1 p.m. The game will be televised on Midco Sports and carried on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network.
