GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis season will begin this weekend with a pair of road matches beginning on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Eastern Illinois and wrapping up at 8 p.m. on Sunday night against Lindenwood.

LAST TIME OUT
This weekend will be the first matches of the championship portion of the season for UND, having last played in early November to conclude the fall season. NoDak appeared in four tournaments, including the ITA Regionals in Memphis, Tenn.
PRESEASON POLL
For the second straight season, UND was selected to finish third in the annual Summit League Women's Tennis Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches. The Fighting Hawks received 23 votes after finishing with a 10-13 record last season and a 3-3 mark in league play -- advancing to the conference semifinals as the No. 3 seed. Denver was once again selected to win the league title, looking to do so for the 11th straight year.
AUBIN NAMED ATHLETE TO WATCH
Graduate student
Aziza Aubin also earned recognition from the Summit League earlier this week, as she was named an athlete to watch for the first time in her career. The
Bexhill-on-Sea, England, native posted an 8-13 overall singles record last season on the No. 5 and 6 courts while also going 6-8 in doubles action.
