GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Freshman
Leo Galliano earned his first collegiate honor on Tuesday afternoon, as he was named Kwik Star Men's Tennis Singles Peak Performer of the Week by the league office.
Galliano had another strong weekend in a pair of matches against Montana and Montana State, going a perfect 2-0 from the No. 3 court in singles play to help the Fighting Hawks go 1-1 in the pair of contests.
MEN'S TENNIS SINGLE PEAK PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Leo Galliano, North Dakota (Fr)
- Garnered his first career peak performer award
- Went 2-0 from the No. 3 spot in singles against Montana (L, 4-3) and Montana State (W, 4-3)
- Evened the match at 2-2 against Montana with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory
- Rolled to a 6-1, 6-4 win against Montana State to even the match at 1-1 in an eventual 4-3 win
- Improved to 3-1 this season in singles
