Miller Collects Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week Accolade

| By:
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Following a stellar performance on the pitch at North Dakota State, the Fighting Hawks' own Grace Miller has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Women's Soccer Defensive Peak Performer of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.

In the Sunday afternoon contest at Dacotah Field, Miller tallied an impressive six saves with one shutout to help UND to a 1-0 defeat of the Bison. It marks her league-best sixth shutout of the season and moves her season total of saves up to 72, which is currently second-most in the Summit.

Her effort as goalkeeper helped give UND its first conference win since 2023 and its first conference road win since 2020. It was also the Hawks' first win at Fargo since 2017.

This is Miller's second weekly honor this season—after previously being selected September 16—and is the third of her career. She and teammate Charlie Basinet stand as the two Fighting Hawks to earn a weekly conference honor this season, as Basinet previously claimed offensive recognition on August 26.

UND soccer now turns its sights to a two-game home slate this week at Bronson Field, beginning with Oral Roberts on Thursday afternoon and followed by Kansas City on Sunday.
