Fighting Hawks move up one spot to No. 8/10 in latest polls

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – After the 38-19 win at No. 12 Southern Illinois, North Dakota slid up one spot to No. 8 in the Stats Perform Poll and No. 10 in the AFCA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
 
The MVFC has seven teams represented in the Stats Perform Poll. North Dakota State (No. 1), South Dakota State (No. 2) and North Dakota (No. 8) all appear in the top-10. Southern Illinois (No. 16) and Illinois State (No. 18) are the next teams from the MVFC ranked, trailed by South Dakota (No. 21) and Youngstown State (No. 22).

In the AFCA Coaches' Top 25, the league continues to have six teams ranked. The Bison (No. 1) and Jackrabbits (No. 2) still have the top two spots. The Fighting Hawks moved up one spot to No. 10, while the Salukis dropped six spots to No. 18. The Redbirds (No. 20) and Penguins (No. 21) are the final teams from the league ranked in the poll.
 
No. 8/10 North Dakota will host Indiana State at 3 p.m. this Saturday. The game will be televised on Midco Sports and carried on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network.
