GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota volleyball team is home for two Summit League matches this weekend, as the Hawks take on Denver on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Oral Roberts on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Tomorrow is Student Organization and Dollar Dog Night, while Saturday is Family Day and UND Volleyball Camper Reunion Day.
UND is coming off a five-set loss at Kansas City on Saturday afternoon. Denver is coming off a 3-1 win against South Dakota, while Oral Roberts is coming off a 3-0 loss to South Dakota State.
Barber Breaking Records
Paige Barber recorded a career day against Kansas City, totaling 26 kills and 23 digs, both good for career highs. The 26 kills are the most ever in a UND five-set match and she is the first player to have 20 kills and 20 digs in a match since Oct. 18, 2019 when Ashley Brueggman had 23 kills and 22 digs against Oral Roberts. Barber has 213 kills on the season, good for the second most in the Summit League.
Sadie Stays Dishing
Sadie White is coming off her fourth double-double of the season, totaling 47 assists and a career high 14 digs. White has had 20 or more assists in nine consecutive matches and her 436 assists ranks fourth in the Summit League.
Kimanni Killing Blocks
Kimanni Rugley is coming off a career best five total blocks. She leads the team in blocks with 35.0 on the season, as she has recorded at least one block in 12-of-15 matches and two or more in 11-of-15 matches this season.
Top-Three in Service Aces
UND ranks third in the conference in service aces. totaling 98 aces in 56 sets of volleyball.
Izzie McCormick is fifth in the conference with 23 aces,
Sadie White is eighth with 19 and
Skylar Darr is ninth with 17.
