GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota men's basketball team will play its final game of 2025 on Sunday against the Dakota State Trojans at 1 p.m. Coverage can be seen on Midco Sports Plus / Summit League Network and heard on 100.3 The Cat.

It is just the second matchup all-time between the two teams, with the lone meeting going back to Dec. 11, 1993, when UND defeated the Trojans by a score of 100-76 in Grand Forks.

North Dakota is coming off a 78-55 loss at No. 15 Nebraska, last Sunday night. The Fighting Hawks led by as many as nine and held a two-point halftime advantage, before being outscored 54-29 in the second half.

Scouting the Opposition
Dakota State enters this contest with an 11-1 record, defeating Providence (Mont.) by a score of 92-72 on Dec. 13.

The Trojans are led by Nathan Ojukwu, who leads the team in points (19.3), rebounds (8.4) and assists (3.5) per game. He also leads Dakota State in three pointers made with 27.

Dakota State has squared off against two Summit League opponents in exhibition games for them this season, losing to South Dakota State, 68-62 on Nov. 6 and losing to South Dakota, 80-71 on Dec. 17.

  • Head Coach Paul Sather's son, Sam Sather has played football for the last two seasons at Dakota State, Sam attended Red River High School in Grand Forks, the same school as Zach Kraft
