Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Minnesota on Saturday morning from the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
North Dakota could not overcome the strong play from the Golden Gophers, as the hosts captured all the sets completed to claim the match.
The doubles duo of
Jule Schulte and
Nore Heinitz suffered their first defeat of the season, dropping a 6-1 score on the No. 2 court while the other doubles pairings also fell by a 6-2 score on the No. 1 court and a 6-1 score from the bottom position.
In singles play, Minnesota notched a 6-0, 6-3 victory from the top spot followed by identical 6-1, 6-0 scores on the No. 4 and 5 courts to claim the 4-0 victory.
North Dakota will return to action next Friday for a road conference battle with Kansas City at noon.
