GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota men's basketball head coach
Paul Sather has announced the addition of Anthony Smith III for the 2025-26 season. The Fighting Hawks inked the Hopkins, Minnesota native on Wednesday, April 16. Smith joins a 2025-26 UND prep class that includes Marley and Micah Curtis of St. Louis Park, Minnesota (St. Louis Park HS) and Horace, North Dakota native (Kindred HS) Karson Ouse.

Mr. Basketball of Minnesota Top 10 finalist…2024-25 All-Lake Conference selection…Minnesota Star Tribune labeled Smith as "one of the best players" in the state…Finished prep career with 1,958 points…Averaged 24.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 4.0 apg as a senior…Shot 42% from beyond-the-arc as a senior…Highly active on the AAU circuit during his prep career…
