THE MATCHUP
» The 124th meeting between Peace Garden State foes North Dakota and North Dakota State is the biggest to-date as the fate of each team's season hangs in the balance. The winner advances into the double elimination portion of the bracket where top seeded Omaha awaits, while the loser closes the book on its '25 campaign.
» Since the two longtime rivals, in a series that began during UND's first season of 1977, became conference foes with the 2019 Summit League season, the series has been back-and-forth and is deadlocked at 10-10. UND took two of three from the Bison in Fargo in early April.
» NDSU finished a game back of UND in the regular season standings. The Hawks finished a game back of South Dakota in a tight 4-5-6 finish.
» The Bison placed three players on All-Summit League teams with Chloe Woldruff headlining the selections as a second-team pick. Fellow outfielder Star Cortez and infielder Amai Hanta were named honorable mention.
» Woldruff hit .315 during the regular season with 40 hits and 17 RBI as she started all but one game for NDSU in 2025. Cortez led the Bison with 44 hits and stole 11 bases, while Hanta paced the offense with 33 runs scored behind a 20-for-22 effort on the basepaths.
» In the circle, Savy Williams (4.95 ERA) and Piper Reed (5.39 ERA) each collected six wins during the regular season. Williams went the distance seven times and Reed followed with five. The pair combined for 83 Ks and 187.1 IP.

FINAL TIME IN THE FORKS
Eight Fighting Hawks,
Katelyn Strauss,
Kaycee Hayes,
Hannah Thompson,
Callie Honig,
Makaela Carr,
Angie Dumlao,
Katie Joten and
Jackie Albrecht, played in Grand Forks for the final time in their collegiate careers in the regular season weekend finale. The senior class has been instrumental in helping UND produce one of its most successful seasons in program history.
CHASING HISTORY
The 2025 Fighting Hawks find themselves chasing history as the program's single-season wins record of 26, which was set in 2018, is just a single win away for UND. The Hawks are in the midst of the program's second 25-win season; all of which have occurred since 2018. Additionally, North Dakota is hunting the program's first season with an above .500 finish since the flood-shortened season of 1997 when the Hawks went 12-10. The Hawks' last full season with an above .500 finish was in 1995 when UND went 21-18. A .500 or better finish in 2025 would be the fifth such conclusion to a season in program history.
SEVEN IN SUMMIT
UND's win over NDSU in the series finale gave the Hawks its seventh Summit League victory of the season marking the fourth season since the program's first year of SL action in 2019 that the program has reached seven conference wins.
HISTORIK
Senior pitcher
Jackie Albrecht became the fourth UND arm to reach 400 strikeouts in her career after a 7-K effort on Senior Day. The Barrington, Illinois native is also staring down a third-straight 100-strikeout campaign. Albrecht joins Tara Peterson (932), Kaylin VanDomelen (567) and Mikki Cochrane (494) as UND arms with 400+ career strikeouts. VanDomelen holds the Division I career record.
TURNIN' TWO
Erasing two base runners on the same play has been a staple of the Hawks' defensive effort this season. UND finished the regular season as the Summit League leader in double plays turned (31): a mark that ranks 7th nationally.
