GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Twenty-two members of the 2024-25 North Dakota hockey team were selected to the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Among the 22 selections, 13 were also honored as NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athletes for exceptional academic achievement following the completion of the school year.
To earn a spot on the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must compile a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average (or better) and have completed a full academic year at their current institution. Similarly, to garner NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must attain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better with a full year of academic studies. Freshmen and first-year transfers were not eligible when NCHC academic accolades were first announced in late February. Athletic success and playing time are not criteria for these awards.
Overall on the 2024-25 Academic All-Conference Team, Arizona State, Colorado College and Omaha each saw 27 student-athletes honored, followed by Western Michigan's 25. Miami, Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State each had 24 total honorees this past season, while every NCHC team is home to at least 22 student-athletes named Academic All-Conference.
