GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota men's basketball team continues Summit League play, taking on the South Dakota Coyotes on Saturday at 1 p.m. from Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Coverage can be seen on Midco Sports and listened to on 100.3 The Cat.
It is the 204th meeting all-time between the two squads, with the Hawks currently on a two-game losing streak against the Coyotes. USD won the last meeting, 92-79 in Vermillion on March 1, 2025. Since Jan. 23, 2019, each time who has won in the series, has gone on to win at least three games in a row.
North Dakota is coming off of a 91-80 loss to St. Thomas on Thursday night. The Hawks trailed by just one at halftime, forcing 13 turnovers in the first half. The Tommies outscored UND 54-44 in the second half.
Scouting the Opposition
South Dakota comes into this contest with a 10-9 record, defeating Kansas City, 99-83 on Thursday night. The Coyotes were led by seven-footer, Cameron Fens in the win. The big man had 31 points and 15 rebounds.
The Coyotes are led by guard Isaac Bruns, who ranks second in the Summit League in points per game at 20.7 points per contest. Bruns has scored at least 14 points in every game this season, totaling 20 or more points 11 times. USD is 0-7 on the road, losing six of those games by double figures.
