SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Following a dominant performance on home turf in the opening weekend of the spring season, Ethel Li was named Kwik Star Summit League Women's Tennis Singles Peak Performer of the Week and teamed up with Jule Schulte for the distinction of Kwik Star Summit League Women's Doubles Peak Team of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.
 
Li secured her second career individual weekly honor after going 2-0 from the No. 1 spot for the Fighting Hawks. She collected a 6-3, 6-3 win on Friday to push UND to a 5-2 team win over Marquette before putting the performance on repeat with another 6-4, 6-4 win against Montana State on Sunday.
 
Over in doubles competition, Li and Schulte tallied a perfect 2-0 weekend from the No. 1 spot while facing the Golden Eagles and Bobcats. Friday saw the duo rally for a 6-4 victory over MU and was followed by a gritty Sunday performance that ended in a hard-fought 7-6 (8-6) win against MSU.
 
The accolade marks Li's first career doubles team honor and Schulte's fifth overall recognition (three doubles, two singles).
