GRAND FORKS, N.D. – After a month on the road, both the men's and women's North Dakota tennis teams return to the comfort of home court inside Choice Health & Fitness for a Friday and Sunday showing.
Competition kicks off on Friday at 6 p.m. with the Fighting Hawk men facing Augustana University before the women close out the weekend against Bemidji State at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Last Time Out
The North Dakota men broke their five-match losing streak in convincing fashion with a 2-0 showing on a Saturday road doubleheader in St. Peter, Minn. UND first faced Gustavus Adolphus to start the day and clinched a 5-2 victory before collecting a gritty 4-3 win over Morningside to close the weekend on a high note.
Out in St. George, Utah, the Fighting Hawk women first faced the hosts in Utah Tech and fell in a nailbiter, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. North Dakota returned to competition early on Sunday afternoon to face Idaho State in a neutral site match but dropped 5-2 to the Bengals.

Preseason Rankings and Athletes to Watch
In the Preseason Summit League Coaches' Poll released on January 14, the North Dakota women were selected third with one first-place vote, while the Fighting Hawk men tied for fourth. The same release named
Jule Schulte and
Leo Galliano as Athletes to Watch in this Summit League this season.

North Dakota tennis will spend another weekend on home turf as the woman take on Creighton and Minnesota Crookston on Friday, February 27 and Sunday, March 1, respectively, while the men host Montana on both Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28.
