HOWEY‑IN‑THE‑HILLS, Fla. — North Dakota kicked off its spring season with a sixth‑place team finish and two top‑20 individual performances at the El Campeon Collegiate on Tuesday, led by Gigi Lund and Mallory Uselman, who each tied for 12th.

Lund carded rounds of 79, 81 and 83 to post a 243 total, securing the ninth top‑20 finish of her UND career. Uselman matched that number with a 243 of her own behind scores of 78, 87 and a strong closing‑round 78 — marking the highest finish of her Fighting Hawks career.

Freshman Sophie Cook joined them inside the top 30 with a three‑round 250, finishing tied for 28th. Emersyn Walker posted a 261 to tie for 42nd, while Kate McComb rounded out the UND lineup at 271 (T‑50). North Dakota finished with a 54‑hole team score of 993.

North Dakota State claimed the team title at 943, followed by Longwood (947) and Bucknell (971).

UND will return to the course on March 8 at the Chris Banister Golf Classic, hosted by Jacksonville State, in Glencoe, Ala.
