GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Penrose Cup is on the line this weekend as No. 3 North Dakota hits the road to battle No. 4 Western Michigan beginning on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. (CT) from Lawson Ice Arena in Kalamazoo, Mich.

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with broadcaster Darrin Looker and Mike LaMoine calling the action. Friday will be the 49th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Western Michigan, with UND holding a 31-16-1 advantage in the series.

The two sides met five times last season, with Western Michigan claiming four of the five meetings. UND's lone win came in the series finale in overtime at WMU.

UND and WMU also tangled in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff Semifinal in St. Paul, Minn. last season and saw the Broncos end NoDak's season with a 4-2 victory.Â
