SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A record-breaking weekend performance highlighted by two dominating wins has resulted in
Jule Schulte being named the Summit League Women's Tennis Singles Peak Performer of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.
Schulte went 2-0 in singles play from the No. 2 position and kicked off the weekend with a stifling 6-0, 6-2 win over Oral Roberts. Her individual success helped secure a 6-1 team for the Fighting Hawks while also helping her make history. The combo of a doubles and singles victory on that March 6 match helped her tie and then break the North Dakota program record for career wins.
Schulte closed the weekend with a mirror 6-3, 6-3 victory against Northeastern State to help UND to a 7-0 sweep of the RiverHawks.
The accolade marks Schulte's sixth overall recognition (three doubles, three singles).
