NOTES: North Dakota Tennis Heads to Colorado

| By:
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Conference competition begins to wind down for the North Dakota men's and women's tennis teams, who are set to hit the road for a combined three matches over the weekend in Colorado.

The Fighting Hawk women will kick it all off for UND with a 12 p.m. CT match at No. 63 Denver on Saturday afternoon before the men follow at approximately 4 p.m. CT against the No. 73 Pioneers. Following that conference contest, the UND men will head to take on Air Force in an 11 a.m. match on Sunday.

Last Time Out
North Dakota men's tennis celebrated Senior Day—honoring lone senior Christos Alex—with a match against Omaha on Friday, April 3. Despite an early loss from the top court in double play, the Fighting Hawks rallied to claim the last two matches and secure the doubles point. Leo Galliano added in a dominating win from the top spot in singles competition before the visiting Mavericks took control and the late UND rally fell short, dropping 5-2.

Saturday, April 4 saw another tight-knit match for North Dakota as the women cruised to an early 1-0 lead after clinching the doubles point. Omaha collected the first three of four singles matches to take a 3-2 lead before freshman Emma Roberts tied things up with a three-set thriller from the No. 6 courts. And despite the best effort of senior Jule Schulte in her gritty match at court No. 2, UND fell 4-3 to the Mavericks.
