GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota softball pitcher
Tegan Livesay was named to the NFCA Division l All-Mountain Region Third Team on Thursday afternoon. She is the first Fighting Hawk to earn NFCA All-Region honors since Kaylin VanDomelen in 2017 and is 1-of-40 players to earn al-region honors in the mountain region.
Livesay was dominant this season, posting a 13-10 record with a 2.79 ERA across 140.1 innings, 28 appearances and 22 starts. She struck out 105 batters with 15 complete games and four complete game shutouts, holding opponents to a .222 batting average. She pitched in three saves.
The Newton, Kan. native ranked top-five in the summit league in ERA (3rd), wins (5th), complete games (T-3rd), saves (T-2nd), innings pitched (5th), strikeouts (4th) and batting average against (1st).
The pitcher threw at least five innings in 18 different outings this season with 11 quality starts. She tossed a no-hitter on April 26 against North Dakota State and followed that up a week later with a 13.1 inning 207 pitch performance on May 1 against St. Thomas.
The junior struck out at least five batters in 10 separate outings, posting a career-high 12 strikeouts on May 1 against St. Thomas. A full list of all the All-Region selections can be found
