GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota head softball coach
Jordan Stevens announced that transfers Addie Craig and Malia Robertson have each signed valid agreements to join the Fighting Hawks for the upcoming seasons.
"We are excited to add Addie and Malia into our program," said Stevens. "Both of these athletes had exactly what we were looking for out of the portal – athleticism in the outfield, ability to immediately help the offense and are both top-notch people that will help in our dugout. I'm looking forward to seeing the impact they will make."
Craig comes to North Dakota after two seasons at the University of Washington, where she appeared in 71 games and made 12 starts in the outfield. The Snoqualmie, Wash., native registered a pair of hits, including a double, over 29 at-bats while also picking up a pair of RBIs. She shined on the basepaths as a pinch runner, scoring 19 runs and swiping two bases. Off the field, Craig is a two-time NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete and earned All-Big Ten Academic Team honors.
Robertson will join the Fighting Hawks after an all-conference campaign at Western Illinois before spending last season at Central Arkansas. In her two years with the Leathernecks, Robertson appeared in 89 games and hit .297 with nine doubles, five triples and one home run while driving in 24. She earned All-OVC Second Team and All-Newcomer Team honors and paced her squad in multiple statistical categories across both seasons. She was limited to just seven games at UCA and scored a pair of runs.
