GRAND FROKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota volleyball program was named a 2026 Team Academic Award winner, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Thursday.
"It comes as no surprise to see out sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jamie Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
To qualify for the award, a collegiate program must maintain a year-long 3.30 on a 4.0 scale during the recently completed academic year. The Fighting Hawks posted a 3.466 during the 2025-26 academic year to receive the award.
This marks the ninth time that UND has earned the honor, with eight of them coming since 2013. NoDak has also claimed five in the last seven dating back to 2020.
