Biography

2020-21 (Senior): Played in 26 games ... Scored a pair of goals and an assist for three points ... One of his goals was a game winner ... Notched his first assist of the year in the win at Omaha (Jan. 29) ... Potted the game-winning goal against the Mavericks (Feb. 19) ... Started the scoring for the Hawks with a goal against Omaha (Mar. 5) ... Had five shots on goal in the NCAA Tournament against Minnesota Duluth (Mar. 27). 

2019-20 (Junior): Played in 19 games, tallying five points (1-4--5) ... Recorded an assist in the season-opening 5-0 win over Canisius (Oct. 11) ... Scored a key goal to make it 3-1 and later added an assist for another two-goal lead at Minnesota State on Oct. 18 ... UND did not lose when he registered a point (3-0-1) ... Blocked seven shots ... Charted his final point of the season in the Feb. 28 win over Western Michigan with an assist ... Would've dressed the following night in the home finale, but graciously offered his spot in the lineup to be sure all of the seniors were able to play one final home game ... earned a second varsity letter. 

2018-19 (Sophomore): Played in 28 games in his first season at North Dakota ... Debuted at UND with two goals and four assists for the season ... Both goals were game-winners .. Tallied his first collegiate goal Nov. 23 against Alaska Anchorage but did not tally another point until etching three points (1 G, 2A) in a four-point weekend (Jan. 18-19 at Omaha) ... Finished with a +7 rating with only four games all season with a minus rating ... Added six blocks on the year ... Took 33 shots on the season, including 10 in the four games against Omaha (1 G, 3 A) ... earned first varsity letter. 

Before UND: Spent the 2017-18 season with the BCHL's Penticton Vees, where he was teammates with fellow UND freshmen Adam Scheel and Jonny Tychonick … Collected eight goals and 24 points in 49 games … Added four goals and two assists in 11 playoff games … Played the prior two seasons with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL and totaled 11 goals and 25 points in 76 career games … Spent the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons with the MJHL's Winnipeg Blues and totaled 36 goals and 98 points in 102 career games … Led the Blues to a league title in 2013-14 was named to the MJHL All-Rookie Team ... Named to the MJHL Second All-Star Team the following season ... Selected to the Canada West U17 team in 2013-14 and the Canada West U19 team in 2014-15 ... A 2015 graduate of St. Paul's High School in Winnipeg.

Personal: Majoring in communication ... Son of Mike and Tammy Keane ... Father played pro hockey for 23 years, including 16 in the NHL, and won three Stanley Cups with Montreal (1993), Colorado (1996) and Dallas (1999) ... Also played with the New York Rangers, St. Louis and Vancouver.
