2007 (Junior): Named All-NCC honorable mention in first year as a starter ... Started all 12 games and finished second on the team in tackles (52), tackles-for-losses (7.5) and quarterback sacks (4.0) ... Named NCC Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 11 after clinching UND’s win at South Dakota (Nov. 10) with back-to-back sacks on USD’s final two plays from scrimmage ... Also had a career-high 13 tackles (four solo) in that game ... Three times was named UND’s Defensive Player of the Week ... Notched the first sack of his career in the season opener against Humboldt State (Aug. 23), which was his first collegiate start ... Had at least one tackle-for-loss in six of UND’s 12 games ... Made eight tackles (two solo) in UND’s NCAA second round playoff game at Grand Valley State (Nov. 24) ... Earned second letter.
 
2006 (Sophomore): Played in a career-high 12 games ... Made 11 total tackles (nine solo) ... Also had two quarterback hurries, one pass breakup and one forced fumble ... Made a career-high three tackles (all solo) in NCAA quarterfinals at Grand Valley State (Dec. 2) ... Both quarterback hurries came against Minnesota Duluth (Oct. 28) ... Earned first letter.

2005 (Freshman): Appeared in seven games as a freshman and made five total tackles ... Made his collegiate debut against West Chester (Sep. 3).

2004: Redshirt season.

Before UND: A 2003 graduate of Dickinson High School ... A 2003 all-state first team pick at linebacker ... A two-time first team all-conference selection ... Amassed 98 total tackles as a senior.

Personal: Majoring in physical education, exercise science and wellness ... Son of Jerry and Holly Holinka ... Dad played football at Valley City State.
