Before UND (Fargo South High School): Played her high school career for Fargo South High School, where she participated in volleyball, track and basketball... Led Fargo South to the 2007 Class A State title, earning the 2007 EDC Senior Athlete of the Year... In 2006 and 2007, was named to the EDC all-conference team as well as the North Dakota State all-tournament team... As a senior, named team captain as well as the Fargo South High School Most Valuable Player...  As a sophomore, earned the Fargo-Moorhead Gametime Newcomer of the Year award.... Named the captain for the basketball team her senior year... During her senior season of basketball, earned EDC all-conference honors as well as the team’s most valuable player award.

Personal: Full name is Amy Elizabeth Stroup... Daughter of Bob and Suzanne Stroup of Fargo, N.D... Has two sisters, Laura (23) and Emily (10), and a brother, Bobby (21)... Father (Bob) played football for the University of Minnesota... Majoring in English/Pre-law.
