Biography

2020-21 (Senior): Saw action in a career-high 16 games ... Scored a goal and an assist for two points ... Made it four straight years as a member of the NCHC All-Academic Team as well as an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete ... Scored his second-career goal at Magness Arena, the same place he scored his first, on a power play to seal a 5-1 win over the Pioneers (Jan. 18) ... Picked up an assist at Omaha (Jan. 29) ... Earned AHCA All-America Scholar honors for the third time. 

2019-20 (Junior): Found his way into the lineup on nine occasions with UND going 9-0-0 when he suited up ... Scored first career goal (GWG) in the 4-1 win at Denver (Nov. 15) ... Was not originally in the lineup, but was called to jump into action just prior to warmups and later potted the game-winner ... In his nine games, UND allowed only one goal seven times and averaged 1.33 goals per game allowed in the games he played ... Was only on the ice for three goals all season ... Named an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and a member of the NCHC All-Academic Team ... Named an AHCA All-America Scholar ... Earned a varsity letter.

2017-18 (Freshman): Named an All-American Scholar by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) … Also selected to the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team and was named an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete … Received UND’s Tom Hoghaug Memorial Scholarship, given to “the freshman who demonstrates initiative, character and a sense of responsibility” … Earned a spot on both the University’s Dean’s List and President’s Roll of Honor during the spring semester … Appeared in 16 games as a freshman, amassing three assists and a plus-2 rating ... Two of his three points came during the third period ... Set up Cole Smith’s game-winning goal just seven seconds into the third period of a 4-1 win over Western Michigan (Dec. 2) ... Goal matched a 65-year old school record for fastest goal to open a third period ... Goal was also the fastest in NCHC history to open any period ... Collected his first career point with an assist in his collegiate debut against St. Lawrence (Oct. 14) ... Was a plus or even in 14 of his 17 games … Earned first letter.

Before UND: Spent the previous three seasons with the SJHL’s Estevan Bruins … Totaled 28 goals and 84 points in 170 career games with the Bruins … Appeared in 53 games in 2016-17 and ranked second among all SJHL defensemen in both points (41) and goals (13) … Was named the SJHL Viterra Division Player of the Year, Most Valuable Player and Top Defenseman … Also earned team MVP and top defenseman honors … Had 9 goals and 32 points in 58 games in 2015-16 and six goals and 11 points in 56 games in 2014-15 ... A 2014 graduate of Winston Knoll High School.
