2020-21 (Sophomore):
Blitzed the record book in his second year at UND ... Became the first player in NCHC history to earn the league's Player of the Year honors in unanimous fashion ... Also earned All-NCHC First Team honors ... Selected as the NCHC's Defensive Forward of the Year and Forward of the Year ... Named to the NCHC All-Academic Team and an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete for the second straight year ... Became the program's 19th-different player to be named as a Hobey Baker Finalist ... Was a two-time NCHC Forward of the Week ... Named the league's player of the month for January ... Selected to the AHCA West All-America First Team ... Appeared in 28 games ... Led the team with 15 goals and tallied 17 assists for 32 points ... Those 32 points finished third on the team ... Posted a +19 rating ... Finished with 388 faceoff wins ... NCHC Rookie of the Year finalist and a member of the NCHC All-Rookie Team ... Dubbed the team's Rookie of the Year ... Named the First Star of the Game at home on four different occasions ... Scored first career goal in his first game, a 5-0 win over Canisius (Oct. 11) that held up as the game-winner ... Ended the first half on a tear, scoring six goals in a six-game stretch, including a pair of two-goal games ... Etched first two-goal contest in a 4-2 win over St. Cloud State (Nov. 22) then repeated the feat two weeks later at Western Michigan (Dec. 7) ... Enjoyed first three-point game (2-1--3) of his career in that WMU win ... Led Team USA at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Tournament with four goals and seven points ... Finished 17th in the WJC for points (4-3--7) ... Returned from that tournament and proceeded to score three more times over the next four games ... This stretch was in the midst of a career-long nine-game point streak (6-5--11) ... Scored one of the most memorable goals of the season, potting home a rebound in overtime vs. Western Michigan (Feb. 29) to clinch the NCHC Penrose Cup ... Led the team with five PPGs, finishing tied for fifth in the NCHC in that category ... Became increasingly dominant in the faceoff circle, winning 61.1 percent of his draws, including a 64.3 winning clip in the second half of the season ... His season faceoff win percentage ranked second all-time in a single campaign at UND is is currently the best career win percentage ... North Dakota was 12-1-1 when he scored ... Named an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and a member of the NCHC All-Academic Team ... Earned first varsity letter.

Before UND: Selected with the first pick of the second round in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft (Ottawa) ... Ranked 28th among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's final 2019 draft rankings … Named to the USHL All-Rookie Team in 2018-19 after leading all first-year skaters with 59 points in 56 games ... Scored 17 goals and added 15 assists in 30 games with Lincoln before shipping off to Tri-City, where he potted 11 goals and added 16 assists in just 26 games ... Tallied nine points in six playoff games with four goals and five helpers ... Represented the US in its gold-medal entry at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge (1-1--2) ... Will become first-ever UND player from the state of New York.
