North Dakota loses to Nebraska-Omaha, 3-0

OMAHA, NEB. -- The Fighting Sioux volleyball team lost to Nebraska-Omaha, 3-0. UNO won 30-25, 30-26, and 30-24. UND falls to 5-14 overall and 0-5 in the NCC. Nebraska-Omaha improves to 10-8 overall and 3-4 in the NCC.

UND was led offensively by sophomore Amanda Polzin (Hutchinson, Minn.). Polzin finished with 10 kills on the night. UNO's Carlie Christensen finished with a match-high 11 kills. Sophomore Britta Hanson (Thompson, N.D.) tallied eight kills in the contest for UND.

Defensively UND was led by freshman Courtney Halvorson (Oklee, Minn.). Halvorson tallied a team-high 20 digs in the match. UNO's Kayla Jensen finished with 26 digs to lead all players.

North Dakota's next game will come on October 20 against St. Cloud State. The Sioux will host the Huskies at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center at 4 p.m.
