GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Sophomore Michael Lueck (Victoria, Minn.) has been named the NCC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance against Nebraska-Omaha. Against UNO, Lueck pitched a complete game five-hitter. Lueck struck out eight Maverick batters while walking two and giving up no earned runs.
Lueck has a season record of 3-4 with a 5.26 ERA. He has pitched 37.2 innings, striking out 35 batters and walking only 16. Lueck has limited opposing hitters to a .277 batting average on the season.
Lueck is the first North Dakota baseball player to be named a NCC Player of the Week this season.
