DULUTH, Minn. -- UND senior
Heidi Evans (Roseau, Minn.) set an NCC women's meet record today in the 1,500-meter run at the North Central Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Evans posted a winning time of 4:30.38, beating the previous record of 4:30.88 set by former UND runner Becky Leppard in 2001.
Evans was the second UND women's athlete to win a title at this year's meet.
Kristy Keithley won the 10,000-meter run on Friday.
UND finished second as a team in the seven-team women's meet.
