DULUTH, Minn.--The No. 4-ranked University of Minnesota Duluth volleyball team's supremacy over North Central Conference opponents continued on Saturday afternoon as the Bulldogs dispatched the University of North Dakota in three games (30-21, 30-10, 30-20) to improve to 14-1 on the season and 2-0 in NCC play.

The Bulldogs, the three-time defending NCC champions, have now won 20 league matches in a row, last losing in conference play back on Oct. 21, 2005 against the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Sophomore middle blocker Sarah Wyffels led the Bulldogs with 12 kills while hitting an impressive .455 against North Dakota,

Sporting an outstanding hitting percentage of .562, junior middle blocker Lindsey Clairmont recorded 10 kills for UMD.

Sioux sophomore Amanda Polzin (Hutchinson, Minn.) led UND with 12 kills and hit .429.

Junior setter Katie Gangelhoff recorded 43 assists in the contest. Tara Holmen (Sr., Berthold, N.D.) added seven kills, while Megan Langseth (So., Alexandria, Minn.) had 17 assists.

The Bulldog defense was led by senior outside hitter Danielle Beckstrand's match-high 16 digs, while adding eight kills.

Senior libero Crystal Hoffrogge contributed 10 digs in the match.

As a team, the Bulldogs hit .383 as opposed to just .059 by UND. The Bulldogs' offense produced 54 kills compared to only 25 by North Dakota.

With the win, UMD has now won 25-straight home matches, last losing at Romano Gymnasium on Aug. 26, 2005 against California State University-San Bernardino.
