ST. PAUL, Minn. ? The Fighting Sioux soccer team picked up their first road win Sunday afternoon with a 6-0 shut out over Concordia-St. Paul. The win improves UND's record to 2-3-0.

Junior Mandi Boehmer (Inver Groves Heights, Minn.) began the Sioux scoring spree at 23:25 with her first goal of the season off a penalty kick. Boehmer would then assist junior forward Lauren Herrmann (Eagan, Minn.) with her second goal of the season at 38:41, giving the Fighting Sioux a 2-0 lead over the Golden Bears going into the second half.

Boehmer was back at it in the second, scoring off a pass from Rachael Loomis (Fr., Fargo, N.D.) at 49:50, earning her second goal of the day and of the season.

A pair of UND freshman in Natalie Brehmer (Fargo, N.D.) and Kelsey Zachman (Mahtomedi, Minn.) each scored unassisted goals for the Fighting Sioux in the second half. Brehmer put in a rebound from a blocked shot at 58:10, while Zachman scored at 72:43 to give UND a 5-0 lead.

Nearly five minutes later, Sarah Penner (Jr., Winnipeg, Man.) assisted Alex Zarling (So., Fargo, N.D.) in her first goal of the season to give the Fighting Sioux the 6-0 win.

In net for the Fighting Sioux were Lauren Sera (Sr., Winnipeg, Man.) and Erin Pederson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.). Receiving the loss for the Golden Bears was Hannah Turgerson. Both Sera and Pederson had three saves on the day, while Turgerson was credited with 10 saves. The Fighting Sioux dominated in shots taken, 36-12.

The Fighting Sioux will next participate in the Niagara Tournament, held in Buffalo, N.Y. UND will first take on Drexel in a 1 p.m. match-up on Sep. 12 and will close-out the tournament with a game against Niagara on Sep. 14.
