GAMES: The Fighting Sioux return home for a full slate of Great West Conference games at Bronson Field. The Sioux will host Utah Valley on Friday at 3 p.m. and Houston Baptist on Sunday at 12 p.m.
UTAH VALLEY: The Wolverines are currently 1-9-0 but seven of their nine losses have came by two goals (fi ve one-goal losses). Off ensively it has been a struggle though for the Wolverines as they have been outscored 22-5 on the year. All five goals have come from different players while in net they have split time between Tasha Bell and Hailey Brown combining for a 2.20 goals allowed
average. Utah Valley leads the all-time series 1-0 with a 5-0 win last season.
HOUSTON BAPTIST: The Huskies are 4-6-1 and on a two-game winning streak. HBU will open conference play on Friday against South Dakota. They are led by Isla Cameron who has eight points (three goals and two assists) and six others that have scored goals. In net, Michelle Rich has started 10 of 11 games going 3-4 with a 1.37 GAA. This will be the first all-time meeting between the two schools.
LAST ACTION: The Sioux opened their conference action being edged by South Dakota, 2-1. The game went scoreless in the first half of action where the Sioux outshot the Coyotes 10-5. Rachael Loomis put the Sioux on the board for the first goal of the game (51:01), but the Coyotes would answer with two goals. It was the third meeting between the two teams this year with all three being one-goal games.
