VERMILLION, S.D.--Keyed by a fourth-place finish by sophomore Katherine Enabnit, the Fighting Sioux women's cross country team placed second today at the University of South Dakota Tim Young Invitational at the Don Baker Cross Country Course.
Enabnit, a sophomore from Carmichael, Calif., enjoyed her best individual placing as a Sioux, completing the 5K course in 19:17.90.
The host Coyotes took first place in the team standings with Creighton placing third.
USD's Ramsey Fitzsimmons took medalist honors with a time of 17:54.30.
Sophomore Emily Emerson (Lino Lakes, Minn.) was the only other Sioux to crack the top-10, placing seventh with a time of 19:38.75.
Senior Lori Benke (Jamestown, N.D.) narrowly missed the top-10. Her time of 20:14.96 placed her 11th.
