GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The current North Dakota soccer team welcomed back 25 ex-Fighting Sioux alumni to Bronson Field on Saturday for an exhibition game celebrating 10 years of Sioux soccer.
Senior Sarah Penner (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and freshmen Rhaya Ballon (Rogers, Minn.) and Caitlyn Haring scored goals for the current Sioux who won the game 3-0.
Making a return to Bronson Field and Grand Forks were players ranging from Colorado to Michigan to Canada including Lacey Woolridge, Stephanie Pfeiffer, Tina Morse, Meghan Mutrie, Lisa Glasoe, Chrissy Lapp, Stephanie Rodman, Jen 'Cilz' Hodny, Erin Pederson, Gale Dockstader, Johanna Mularoni, Laura Lentz, Maren 'Wolsky Wright, Lara Traczyk, Ashley Rohwer, Gina 'Hendrickson' Kirby, Eve Compton, Marie 'Colago' Martineau, April Bielejeski, Stacy Pappas, Lindsey Kirchoffner, Andrea Sinness, Megan Tracy and Beth Gilyard.
The Fighting Sioux will return to action this Friday when they play host to Great West Conference rival South Dakota. The game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
