GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- With the postponing of Thursday's basketball games with NJIT, much of Wednesday's media focused on what the Sioux need to do to prepare for Chicago State on Saturday.
"It's been a long time," Jones said of the Fighting Sioux playing on their home court at Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. UND's only home game of 2010 has been at Ralph Engelstad Arena in the Meltdown event. Jones added about the young UND squad, "No question they're anxious to be able to show the progress they've made."
The Fighting Sioux have won two of their past three games, beating Great West Conference opponent Texas-Pan American and SIU-Edwardsville.
Jones also answered some other questions from the media, ranging from future Great West schedules to the development of senior Travis Mertens.
The Fighting Sioux host Chicago State at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The game can be heard live on 100.3-FM and watched across the nation on the Fighting Sioux Sports Network and Fox College Sports.
