GRAND FORKS, N.D. --- North Dakota's Michelle Frank was named Great West Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week Tuesday.

The pitching honor went to Frank after she struck out 13 batters in an 8-2 victory over Jamestown College.

The junior from Chaska, Minn., entered in relief and was dominant in 6.1 innings of work to pick up her fourth win of the season. The righthander allowed only three singles, zero walks and no runs.

The Fighting Sioux return to action next Monday returning to Bronson Field to host South Dakota State. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 2 p.m.
