North Dakota closes out its home schedule this week, hosting Montana and Montana State, respectively. UND is just one win shy of clinching a spot in the eight-team Big Sky Conference Tournament. The regular season comes to an end next week with a road swing to Idaho and Eastern Washington.
BEAR-ING IT ALL
North Dakota went into last Saturday's contest with Northern Colorado without a home win in the all-time series against the Bears. Ever. UNC owned a 32-3 stranglehold in the overall meetings between the schools, but UND etched a historic 3-1 victory to snap the home losing streak to the Bears. Prior to that win, UND had lost all 13 home games against UNC, winning just seven sets total, dating all the way back to 1990.

ON THE HORIZON
The regular season comes to a close with key matches at Idaho next Thursday and Eastern Washington next Saturday. the Big Sky Conference Tournament is set to be hosted by the regular season champion. The eight-team tourney begins Nov. 20 and runs through Nov. 22.
IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT....
Senior Lexi Robinson had a Saturday to remember in the win over Southern Utah (Oct. 25). She picked up career dig No. 1,000 in the first set, then career kill No. 1,000 at the end of the second set. For the match, she tallied a career-high-tying 23 digs and added 12 kills for one of her team leading 12 double-doubles on the season.
ALL ABOUT THAT FAITH, 'BOUT THAT FAITH (NO TREBLE)
Freshman Faith Dooley is in the top six in NCAA statistical rankings for total blocks with 135.0 entering this week. Her per-set average ranks 31st overall and she is already nearing the season top 10 list at UND. With four matches left in the regular season, Dooley is already into UND's top 10 for blocks in a season. She needs just 15 to claim the record which was just tied last season by Lisa Parlich (Tara Holmen- 149).
TWENTY-SOMETHINGS
UND has clinched its eighth 20-win season out of the last nine seasons. All-time, North Dakota has 15 seasons with 20-plus wins with the most wins coming in the Great West championship team of 2011 (26-5) and 1990's 26-11 campaign while playing in the North Central Conference.
CHASING FIVE GRAND
Senior Nikki Husfeldt broke UND's all-time career assist mark in an Oct. 3 win at Montana. She broke the mark that had been held for 12 seasons by former standout Holly Welter (1999-2002), who generated 4,698 assists in helping lead North Dakota to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance (D-II). Husfeldt currently has 4,996 career assists entering Thursday.
TO ERR IS NOT NORTH DAKOTAN
North Dakota has pieced together some impressive numbers when it comes to limiting attack errors. Already six times this season, UND has had single digit attack error numbers. Most impressive may have been the nine-error output in a five-set match against Arkansas State on the opening weekend.
PUTTING TEAMS TO BETTY BYE
North Dakota is 91-38 (.705) all-time at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, which opened prior to the 2004 season. Since 2008, UND is a staggering 69-12 (.852) including a school-record 13 wins in 2011. North Dakota recently had a 10-match winning streak at home snapped and is 20-4 at home the past two seasons.

PLAY ON, PLAYER
Senior Nikki Husfeldt was named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week after leading UND to an unblemished 5-0 mark Sept. 2-6. She recorded the first triple-double of UND's Division I era and notched a career-high 11 kills to go along with 50 assists and 15 digs in a thrilling win over South Dakota on Sept. 5. Robinson achieved the mark Oct. 25, surpassing both 1,000 kills and 1,000 career digs in the win vs. Southern Utah. Husfeldt turned the trick in the Nov. 1 win vs. Northern Colorado.
