GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota head men's hockey coach Brad Berry announced on Monday morning his team's complete 2016-17 schedule. 

The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) had previously unveiled the 2016-17 conference schedule in April. Today, Berry announced the addition of 11 non-conference games and one exhibition tilt to round out next year's schedule. 

UND's 35-game regular season schedule features 19 home games and 15 road games, plus the College Hockey Showdown against Boston College at Madison Square Garden in New York (Dec. 3). In all, UND will face seven non-conference opponents from five different conferences: Bemidji State (WCHA), Boston College (Hockey East), Canisius (Atlantic Hockey), Michigan State (Big 10), Minnesota (Big 10), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC), and Union (ECAC).

The home date versus RPI (Oct. 15) will double as both the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game and the UND Athletics Hall of Fame Game. UND will also host Canisius (Oct. 7-8), Bemidji State (Oct. 21-22) and Michigan State (Nov. 25-26) in non-conference home action, and will travel to Minnesota (Nov. 4-5) and Union (Dec. 31). 

UND will open the season with a home exhibition game on Oct. 1 against the University of Manitoba. 

The NCHC playoffs begin March 10-12 on campus sites with the NCHC Quarterfinals, followed by the NCHC Frozen Faceoff March 17-18 at Target Center in Minneapolis.

North Dakota will serve as the host institution for the 2017 NCAA West Regional at Scheels Arena in Fargo. Other 2017 regional host sites include Cincinnati (Midwest), Providence, R.I. (East) and Manchester, N.H. (Northeast).

The 2017 NCAA Frozen Four will be held in Chicago at the United Center, home of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks.

All start times currently designated as 'TBA' will be announced at a later date.

UND won its eighth NCAA men's hockey championship in 2015-16 and its second straight Penrose Cup as NCHC regular-season champion.
