GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota men's tennis team got their second-straight win of the season by defeating Augustana 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at Choice Health & Fitness.

UND took the doubles point to jump to an early lead on the Vikings. UND won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-4, while No. 3 doubles won by a score of 6-2.

In singles play, Simon Danyluk set the tone by quickly defeating Andrew Johnson in No. 5 singles competition 6-0, 6-2. Alex Mailes, who picked up his first singles win of the season, and Dustin Britton closely followed play by topping Augustana in No. 4 and No. 1 singles play.

North Dakota's Travis Lau dropped both sets to Charlie Adkins to give the Vikings their lone point of the dual. The remaining matches were easily handled by UND as Ty Misialek picked up a win in No. 3 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-3, while Eshan Varma finished up the dual winning his No. 6 singles match, also 6-1, 6-3.

The Fighting Hawks hope to continue their success at home against Southern Utah on Friday, March 10 at 1 p.m., also at Choice Health & Fitness.
