Box Score GREEN BAY, Wis. – The University of North Dakota men's tennis team needed every point they earned tonight, holding off Green Bay, 4-3, on Saturday evening from Titletown USA.

With the win, UND (4-5) snaps its four-match losing streak, collecting its first victory since Feb. 15 at Tennessee State to send the Fighting Hawks into their annual Spring Break trip with positive momentum.

After dropping the opening match on the top court in doubles play, UND rallied to take a 1-0 lead behind the duos of
Davide Callegari and Johnnie Carmichael at the No. 2 position as well as
Chuck Tang and Jacob Kuhlman from the No. 3 slot. Both doubles pairings recorded a 6-4 triumph on their respective courts to grab a much-important 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

The teams traded points on the top pair of courts, with Green Bay claiming a win from the No. 1 position and
Lukas Buth restoring the Fighting Hawk lead with a 7-6, 6-2 victory from the No. 2 position.

The Phoenix added back-to-back wins on the No. 3 and 4 courts, but UND responded again as
Alex Reinke posted a 6-4, 6-3 triumph from the sixth position to turn all eyes to the No. 5 court with the match even at three.

After dropping the opening set by a 6-2 score, Callegari evened the match with a 6-4 win in the second frame to send the match to a tiebreaker. There, the senior won the back-and-forth affair by a 7-6 score to capture the victory and snap the four-match losing streak for the Fighting Hawks.

North Dakota returns to action on March 9 with a trip to Florida to battle Florida Southern before heading to DeLand for a matchup with Stetson on March 10.
