THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Summit League women's championship will move to Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kan., site of the last two men's championships. The last two women's championships were held in Nebraska City, Neb. The last time the men and women played their championship on the same course was in 2014 in Keller, Texas.

THE COURSE
Sand Creek Station Golf Course is a par-72, 6,030-yard track in Newton, Kan. It's a links-style 18-hole public golf course with a bent grass playing surface designed by architect Jeff Brauer. Unique features include an active railway running through the course, Sand Creek bordering four holes, and 11 custom ponds. A wooden cart bridge spans Sand Creek, and a concrete underpass allows carts to travel under the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks. A biking/walking path runs along the tracks from the course to Southwest 14th Street.

THE FIELD
There are nine schools with full membership in The Summit League, including five that are former North Central Conference foes. North Dakota rejoins conference rivalries against North Dakota State, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Omaha, all of whom transitioned to Division I following the dissolving of the NCC. Denver, Western Illinois, Purdue Fort Wayne and Oral Roberts make up the other schools in the conference. With the addition of UND, all nine The Summit League teams will compete for the automatic NCAA bid at the year-end championship in Newton, Kan.

THE HISTORY
North Dakota State is the reigning champion in the Summit League, breaking a four-year run for the University of Denver. All told, Oral Roberts has dominated the women's side, historically, winning 15 league titles with Denver at four and NDSU claiming two.
