GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- It was a bit of the unconventional route, but one of the top teams in the Summit League looked to further its grip on the league with the announcement of two additions to the men's tennis program on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day.
UND will welcome transfer Nikita Snezhko from the University of Iowa and incoming freshman Dylan Leeman from Ireland to the squad in 2021-22. Snezhko will become immediately eligible for next season due to the elimination of the tennis program at Iowa while Leeman will come to Grand Forks in the Spring of 2022 as a freshman.
"Nikita has grown into a dangerous player and was a significant contributor at Iowa, a top-25 team in the nation, last season," said UND associate head coach
Kyle Anderson. "He will be a major factor in our goal to contend in the Summit League. Dylan is exactly the type of person we want in our culture. He is a strong competitor who will add to our program's continued growth"
