NOTES: No. 6 North Dakota set for top-10 showdown at No. 7 Quinnipiac

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – After a weekend split against No. 20 Bemidji State, No. 6 North Dakota hits the road for its first two-game series as the visiting team vs. No. 7 Quinnipiac on Friday and Saturday from Frank Perrotti Arena in Hamden, Conn.
 
All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio, FightingHawks and Varsity Network apps. The flagship station for the network is 96.1 FM (The Fox). Longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy calls the action.
 
Both contests this weekend can be seen on ESPN+, with a subscription.
 
UND has won all four previous meetings with Quinnipiac, with three of those games coming in the state of North Dakota.
 
The Fighting Sioux opened the 2006-07 season with a sweep over the Bobcats, with Jonathan Toews scoring a hat trick in the 4-2 weekend finale.
 
2015 saw the two programs meet in Fargo in the NCAA West Regional semifinal, with UND rolling to a 4-1 win.
 
The biggest meeting came in Tampa, when the two teams played for the national title. UND struck three times in the third period to win, 5-1, and claim the program's eighth title.
