Next Game: vs. South Dakota
The University of North Dakota men's basketball team will open its final home weekend of the season against old rival South Dakota on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Fans can catch all the action with Alex Heinert and Zachary Dosch on MidcoSN or tune into Paul Ralston on the Home of Economy Radio Network.

Series History vs. South Dakota
This will be the 194th all-time meeting between North Dakota and South Dakota, with UND holding an 101-92 advantage in the series. The Coyotes have had the better of the Hawks in the Division I era, however, winning eight of the 14 meetings.

Keepin' It 100
Last March's win over South Dakota gave UND its 100th win over the Yotes. Since starting the program in 1904-05, this marked the third team that UND has accumulated 100 wins over and the final Division I program in the Dakotas.

Party Rock Anthem
It has to been feeling like 2011 for UND. With the back-to-back victories over the Yotes in March 2020 and earlier this season, it's the first time since an 83-73 win in Vermillion and a 77-76 double OT triumph in the Great West title game in Orem Utah in 2011 that the green and white have won two straight over USD.

UND will also be searching for its first win over USD at home since...? Yep, 2011. North Dakota started that aforementioned streak with a 75-62 win over the Coyotes on Jan. 15, 2011 at the Betty.

Welcome To Splitsville
North Dakota has become the Mayor of Splitsville this season during conference play, splitting five of its six series so far. Over that stretch, UND has never pieced together back-to-back victories and its longest losing streak was only two games.

Splits by Summit League teams
North Dakota - 5
North Dakota State - 3 (One with UND)
Kansas City - 3 (One with UND)
Oral Roberts - 3 (One with UND)
South Dakota State - 1 (Swept UND)

Western Illinois - 1 (One with UND)
Denver - 1 (One with UND)
Omaha - 0 (Has not played UND)

Overtime Is Fun Time
UND notched its 15th win since moving to Division I in 2008 in overtime, 12th in the single OT period and third under Paul Sather in the Feb. 5 contest at Denver.

The Jan. 16th overtime W over NDSU was also the first home win in OT since Feb. 17, 2018 vs. Northern Arizona and the first against NDSU since Feb. 7, 2004 in a 76-73 Fighting Sioux win at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, the final game between each other as Division II opponents.

UND went to overtime in both contests at Denver, splitting those games. It marked the first time that the Hawks have gone to the extra session in back-to-back games since March 11, 2016 vs. Weber State in the Big Sky Conference Tournament semifinals and March 16, 2016 vs. UC Irvine in the CIT.
