NOTES: Senior Day, home finale vs. Coyotes on tap

Next Game: vs. South Dakota
The University of North Dakota men's basketball team will close out the home portion of the schedule and go for the sweep of South Dakota on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Fans can catch all the action with Alex Heinert and Zachary Dosch on MidcoSN or tune into Paul Ralston on the Home of Economy Radio Network.

Series History vs. South Dakota
This will be the 195th all-time meeting between North Dakota and South Dakota, with UND holding an 102-92 advantage in the series. The Coyotes have had the better of the Hawks in the Division I era, however, winning eight of the 15 meetings.

Nine Is Fine
The nine-point win over South Dakota on Friday was the largest margin of victory by UND this season, with all seven on its wins coming by single digits. The Hawks are 5-3 this season in games decided by five-or-fewer points and 4-1 in league play. The last win by double digits by UND came over Purdue Fort Wayne in a 73-56 triumph on March 9, 2020 in the Summit League Tournament Semifinals.

Keepin' It 100
Last March's win over South Dakota gave UND its 100th win over the Yotes. Since starting the program in 1904-05, this marked the third team that UND has accumulated 100 wins over and the final Division I program in the Dakotas.

Party Rock Anthem
It has to been feeling like 2011 for UND. With the back-to-back-to-back victories over the Yotes, it's the first time since a 75-62 win at the Betty, an 83-73 win in Vermillion and a 77-76 double OT triumph in the Great West title game in Orem Utah all in 2011 that the green and white have won three straight over USD.

UND last won four straight over South Dakota from 1986-1988 when the Fighting Sioux won five straight over the Coyotes during that stretch.

Et Tu, Bentiu?
As the lone senior on the roster, Bentiu Panoam has provided a spark off the bench for the Fighting Hawks in the losses to Oral Roberts and North Dakota State. The Anchorage, Alaska, native scored 11 points at ORU before knocking down a career-high four triples in a 12-point outing on Friday vs. the Bison.

Panoam was rewarded with a start in the Saturday  game vs. North Dakota State, and did not disappoint with 10 points on three triples to give the senior three straight contests in double figures for the first time in his career.

The senior poured in a season-high 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting while also grabbing two rebounds in the comeback victory over Western Illinois.

Panoam put together the best game of his career in the win over South Dakota on Feb. 13, scoring a career-high 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting while adding three rebounds and a steal.

During conference play, Panoam has risen his scoring average to 10.0 points per game and is second on the team with 21 triples.
