Playoff Bound! North Dakota to Visit Weber State in FCS First Round

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – For the third time in the last four seasons, North Dakota is postseason bound. The Fighting Hawks will visit Weber State on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 3 p.m. in the opening round of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Playoffs, with the winner heading to No. 4 seed Montana State the following weekend.
 
This will be the sixth all-time meeting between North Dakota and Weber State, with WSU holding a 4-1 lead in the series. UND fell 30-27 in the most recent matchup of the series on Nov. 9, 2019 in Ogden.
 
North Dakota comes into the postseason with a 21-15 record in its playoff history. The Fighting Hawks were last in the playoffs during the 2020-21 season and hosted Missouri State. UND won that contest 44-10. NoDak has appeared in 15 first round games and are 8-7 in those contests.
 
The Fighting Hawks ended the regular season with the No. 2 strength of schedule, according to the Massey Ratings. UND was 4-0 in games decided by a touchdown or less this season. NoDak has won 19 of its last 21 games inside the Alerus Center.
