Bryant, Ocansey Named to MVFC All-Newcomer Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Offensive lineman Brayden Bryant and defensive back Edmund Ocansey were named to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

North Dakota has placed 10 student-athletes on the postseason All-MVFC teams, with eight of them earning all-conference honors on Monday.

Brayden Bryant, OL, So., Ardmore, Okla., All-Newcomer Team
Started the final 10 games of the season at left guard … Helped North Dakota have a completion percentage of 67.1 percent to rank No. 3 in the conference … His blocking helped UND sit No. 2 in the conference in time of possession, averaging 33:23 of clock each game … Helped the Fighting Hawks find points 91.5 percent of the time in the red zone to rank No. 2 in the MVFC.

Edmund Ocansey, DB, R-Fr., Champlin, Minn., All-Newcomer Team
Started the final eight games of the season at defensive back … Third on the team in pass breakups with three … Recorded 20.0 tackles (14 solo, six assisted) … Put down a season-high four tackles at both Indiana State and at Weber State.

The league offices will announce the MVFC All-Academic Teams next week.
