GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 48 Denver on Saturday afternoon from Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D.
UND (8-8, 1-1 Summit League) dropped each set in the match against one of the top teams in the nation, but battled for every point.
Sapir Sela and
Andrea Jansson were level at 4-4 at the top court in doubles match when play was halted, with Denver earning the doubles point with 6-1 and 6-2 victories on the doubles court.
In singles action, Jansson and
Lucia Rizza both took their second sets to 7-6, but the Pioneers pulled out the 7-0 win.
North Dakota returns to action on Wednesday afternoon against Merrimack at 2:30 p.m. from Orlando.
